"Goodnight. Thank you again for keeping me company." Astrid watched Niv walk back safety before stretching her wings and taking off into the night.

"Heh, sounds good Astrid." Nivalia chuckles. A yawn cuts it off though, a reminder of her lack of sleep. "Just let me know ahead of time. I actually hires some help myself and need to help her with the paperwork and such." After some time she is able to find her house. "Well, that's my place over there." Stretching once more, she turns to her companion and gives her a light hug. "Star thanks once again for tonight. It was lovely meeting you. If you need anything, like plants and stuff, stop by my shop." Once she lets go she trots over to her residence, ready to lay in her comfy bed.

"Soon. I got to advertise it and get together what I want in a pony." Astrid stated. "I would have to make it mid day, which means I will have to stay up quite a bit I guess. Or... I'll make it later so I can get my sleep but maybe it will drive away some ponies.... Regardless I will let you know when that day comes."

"Yea, this is all starting to look familiar now." Nivalia looks around, recognizing some local buildings and landmarks. "So, when we're you planning on starting the recruitment process?"

"That is so sweet." Astrid responded. "I obviously embrace the night." She stretched her wings out before tucking them back in. "We are almost there."

"Oh I can certainly see why. The night has its own majestic beauty that most don't realize. I'll admit, when I was a kid I was afraid of... not exactly the night, just... the dark." Nivalia admits, sounding a little embarrassed. "But my family ended up at a Noctral village in Southern Equestria. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to stay there for about two months. In that time the villagers showed us that there's nothing to be afraid about. The night is known, rather stigmatized for having monsters and threats and such, but daytime isn't much better either. I also made my first friends there as well. After that we always returned every year to celebrate some of their festivals and catch up with them."

"Ahh... I enjoy nights like this. You know, I painted the night sky on the ceiling inside my old room back when I was a filly." Astrid glanced at the sky before returning her gaze forward. "It was a night like there that got me interested in all this space stuff."

"Aw, thanks for having me over." Nivalia chimes, enjoying the accidental visit. By now not a soul is seen on the streets. Lights in the houses are either dim or completely off. Only the Crescent moon and twinkling stars are found lighting up the dark blue canvas.

"Yeah no problem." The noctral held the door open for her new friend. "Thanks for... going me for dinner. I never have anypony over so this was refreshing."

She's right. It was getting late. And her business just openinf up in ponyville, she'll need all the sleep she can get. "Yea, we should get going. Thanks again for helping me out Astrid. I'll follow your lead."

"Then it's a deal. We'll say you help me find a good assistant, and I will let you play around in zero gravity." Astrid stuck her hoof out. "Oh it's late though. I should help you get back to your home."

"Well, I'll help you out with that." Nivalia chimes in. "I'm sure there's a decent amount of ponies who dream of going into space. When they see that someone from EASEA is recruiting, they'll line up right out the door!"

"I guess the world could always use more astronauts. Okay fine... I will open a spot...But I don't know what qualities to look for. I probably will end up rejecting everyone or hiring the wrong pony." Astrid sighed.

"Ah Star, I have to open your mind to the wonders of recruitment." Nivalia says as she gets up, stretching her legs. "I thought the same thing when I first opened my shop. But after of month of putting up flyers, I get a while family of earth ponies right at my door. Each a specialist in their craft. Turns out my needs were spread by word of mouth. They all came from all corners of Equestria. I guess it helped them too, brought them all together again." Trotting over to Astrid, she concludes with a warm smile. "You'll never know until you try. And hey, you may be making someone's dream come true as well."

"They need to be able to handle a lot of responsibility and have a willingness to learn. I need them t somewhat also know what they are talking about. It's a lot to ask. Please no one but me in this town is interested in Aeronautics and astronomy... and astrophysics. I rather have no assistants than a pony who can't even name another moon other than the one Earth has." Astrid shook her head.

"A toll on your health, sleepless days and nights, and messed up cycles. No offense, but love for your job won't keep you alive forever." Nivalia quips. "You'd figure that EASEA would give you some kind of help. Heck, at least an intern or something." She leans back on her seat. "I'm sure if you for the word out, you'd find someone willing to assist to get the experience and your signature on a piece of paper saying they got it."

"Oh I absolutely love my job... Though yes it does take a toll on my health and... I have a lot of sleepeless days and nights, my cycle is all messed up. I unfortunately do not have helpers... but it's okay! I'm still alive so it's not too bad." Astrid takes both the dishes.

"Am I up for it? You certainly bet I am!" Nivalia claps, excited for what lies ahead. "And you experience that a lot for work. As fun as it sounds, does it ever get tiring? Does anyone ever assist you if you ever need it? I know I have my helpers with the shops, so it's not much of a burden if I need to go somewhere."

"It's actually unsettling at first. But once you get the hang of it, it's life changing!" Astrid answered. "After the food settles... I guess I can give you a little taste of what it's like! That is... if you are up for it..."

"Awesome." Niv replies, simply fascinated at the whole thing. "So what's it like? Being in zero gravity?"

Astrid giggled. "Well most of the garage if I use the potions that were given to me. And no, we still have air so you don't need a suit. I use one just because I love it and it's good practice."

Nivalia's jaw drops as soon as she hears her explanation? "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold up! You mean to tell me that you have portions in your garage that simulate zero gravity!? That's so cool! Do you need the suit to be inside? Or can you just float around without it?" Her eyes are wide. Clear excitement is present in her tone.

"Oh this is kinda embarrassing." Astrid blushed. "I am supplied zero gravity potions. I mix that with some of the elements in my garage and create a cool no gravity atmosphere. That being said, I also like to wear my spacesuit and work on my shuttle in there."

"I'm glad to hear." Nivalia nods. "So what are you specifically working on tonight? I'm guessing since it involves that suit it must be important."

"I don't even remember what happened. It's just what the ponies back at base told me." Astrid sighed. "Oh yeah I have had other crews.The trips have been great. You are right about pushing on though and that's what I did."

Nivalia gasps. "Oh no... Oh Star, I'm so sorry. Something like that... it takes a lot of courage to endure such things." She looks to the photo of her and her crew. "It's not easy. It never is. But events like that, we get a little more careful with our work. And it's just a matter of... pushing on." Niv looks to Astrid, "Have you found others to join you on your next trip?"

"That is incredible Niv. She would be very proud of you today." Star Catcher looked at Niv with sympathetic eyes. "Oh stop, what you are doing is incredible. I don't understand any of that stuff. Astrid looked back at the picture of her crew. "Space and the moon... It was so surreal. My first trip there was a dream come true. I was one of the first Noctrals that stepped hoof on the moon without the use of magic to get there. Of course at time i didn't know that. There's footage of it everywhere.. Unfortunately... such a perfect trip didn't end happily..." Astrid cut herself off and dropped the fork she was twirling.

A nostalgic look appears on her face. "My mother. She kept a garden in our yard; it was our favorite pastime." Nivalia finishes her plate. "I got my cutie mark when my first plant bloomed. A hobby turned into a passion, then a profession." Her ears fold back, her expression more somber. "She... passed away some years ago, illness. The doctors couldn't find a cure for it. They couldn't even pin down what it was. Some then I turns my skills of Botany to medicine, to help those wounded or sick; to make them better." She looks back to Astrid, "But it doesn't really sounds like much compared to what you've done. You were in space, even on the moon. What was it like?"

"Well I help design and improve our current space shuttles which can only be used to repair things within our planet's orbit. Thought one day I would love to travel back to the moon again." Her eyes glanced at the picture of her old crew but she quickly returned her gaze back to Niv. "Ohh that's certainly interesting, how did you get into that."

Nivalia's already done half her plate when she answers. "I just opened up my second shop here. The Herbiary, we sell plants of decorative and medicinal purposes. Tonics, tools, and tea as well. My first shop is in Canterlot too. I came here to Ponyville because of the open land. Plus, what you said; to get away from the city. Enjoy the peace and quiet. So this shuttle, where will it be going?"

"Well, they gave me two labs that I could work at, one being here and the other being with the main facilities in Canterlot. I come here pretty often to work on the space shuttle. That and stare at the beautiful nights that Ponyville has to offer, I know it's similar to Canterlot, but that city is loud and noisy at nights occasionally, it's so peaceful here." Astrid took a bite. "Where do you work around here?"

"Then it will be the best meal of the day." Nivalia compliments. She takes her first bite, a fifth of the plate already gone. "Thanks Astrid. I really appreciate it. So, what's EASEA doing here in Ponyville?"

"Oh! Introductions! Offff course!" Astrid was struggling to open an old folding chair and gave up and just wheeled an office chair over. "My name is Astrid! But the name I got at EASEA is Star Catcher. Pleasure to meet you!" The Noctral headed to the stove and heated a pot of water and threw some spaghetti noodles. After a few moments, she returned with two plates of steaming spaghetti. "Here you are. This is probably the best kind of food you are going to get from me."

"Wow." Nivalia whispers to herself as she takes in the sight. Surely this was a mare of science, and clutter was all too familiar to her. The notes, chewed up pens, and overall messiness brought her back to her days in University. "This place is impressive! And I certainly don't mind the clutter; the wrist for knowledge is never organized." She takes a seat at the table, "I don't think I formally introduced myself. My name is Nivalia, and I'm very grateful to be in your lovely home."

"Oh shoot! You haven't eaten?" Star Cather hops up a little. "Well I'd be happy to fix you up something. I mean... I'm not an amazing chef as you know... I like my fruit... but I leanred a thing or two from my co-workers. Here you see that dome house right behind you? The door is unlocked, head on in and I will take my space suit off and meet you inside."
Star Catcher hurried back into the garage.
Niv would see that inside was one gigantic room. The entire place was covered with blue prints, books papers, broken pencils and chewed up pens. The room was large. Near the end was a pipe ladder that led up to a plat form high up. From where Niv was she could see a messy bed with more notes as well as pictures of various memories. There was a large window (one of the only ones in the room aside from a cirlce on the center of the ceiling). There was a door that seemed to lead out to a balcony.
Astrid finally caught up and pointed to a wooden chair and table by the kitchen that was extremely messy with dishes and apple cores.
"Sorry, I'm such a slob, but I swear the cooking is clean and good." She flashed a smile before heading over. "Oh shoot I got to grab another chair. Sorry! I don't have uhm... friends here so I don't ever need more than one chair ever."

Nivalia shakes her head, "No that's actually really cool." She looks over the suit, surprise clearly on her face. "I certainly want expecting to this tonight." Before she can say another word, a loud grumble echoes between them. Her face turns red, "That was me, sorry about that. Um, yea I live on West Oak st-" An even louder groan eminates from her stomach. "I uh... probably should've grabbed a bite at work."

"Oh! I mean I lived here for only a little bit, but long enough to know my way around. I can help you get back to where you need to be.... and yes." Astrid laughed. "In simple terms i am an astronaut. Sorry that I came out in this, it takes patience and some effort to get out of these suits and I didn't want to keep you waiting too long."

"Uhhh..." is really the only thing that Nivalia can say, not expecting to see a mare in a spacesuit. She shakes her head, snapping back to reality. "S-sorry. I uh... I'm new here. I just moved here like a week ago and I got lost..." The mare gives an obvious glance over her. "Are you an astronaut?"

Astrid jumped and let a tool float up when she heard the knocking. She always forgot there was still air despite the gravity potions. The knock startled her before she propelled herself over a door after securing all her tools back inside the shuttle. "Give me a few minutes!"
The noctral then went into a cabinet and found another magical glass and plugged it into a pipe. After a few moments gravity slowly returned. Well at least enough for her to take a very large leap towards the side entrance to the garage and open it up still wearing her spacesuit.
"Oh hello! Can I help you?"

With the workday finally over, Nivalia makes her trip back home. Still in her earth pony form, she powers up at the night sky as it blankets the horizon. It's certainly a beautiful sight. Perhaps too beautiful, enough to distract her into getting lost. "Ah fudge! I should've stuck to the main roads." Unfortunately she hasn't been in Ponyville long enough to know where everything is. With everyone asleep in their homes, she couldn't ask for directions. That is until she finds a large warehouse, still lit and possibly active. Shrugging, the changeling hears over to what she reasons as the "front" door. Knocking her hoof on it, she awaits to see if anypony will answer.

With the sun on the horizon, a blur with a grey coat darted from her house to the extremely large semicircle storage tent. After slipping into her space suit, she took a potion out of a secure cabinet and threw it on the ground causing her to begin to float up. She began to use her suit to propel her towards the half-completed space shuttle with a tool box.
