Taking Flight
« on: August 25, 2016, 02:51:28 pm »
The agents were all given fake Madra passports and sent on their ways. On them was nothing except normal clothes and duffel bags. Their equipment will be waiting for them over in a dead drop location.

Fox, Niv, and Tinder were in one row on the plane, and across from them would be Ebony, Sadowi, and Broadshield. Behind Fox's row sat the Colonel, Lauren Kelly, and a mare that Broadshield would recognize all too well.

Ford had told them that he was sending in one of their "special program's agent's" (they want to keep the details of PATRIOT a secret) to help them out since she was extremely experienced, but he purposely didn't explain who it was.

Broadshield didn't like this mission at all, and it was highly unlikely that his opinion would change anytime soon, if at all. Stripped of all of his gear, being ordered around, and he had little to no chance of getting into contact with HIS men. If anything, it reminded him of his past as part of Equinox when it had just started, or even further then that, his time in the guard. At least he managed to sneak a tiny earpiece in, hiding it in his mouth until it was a good time, not that anyone knew that.

Getting onto the plane was a chore in itself. Broadshield was truly about to simply walk out of the mission when he saw THAT mare. It took a lot of self-control to not throttle her on the spot and take his seat as calmly as possible. Now, he had resorted to giving death stares at her whenever he looked in her direction. And it had been like that ever since they left, and it was unlikely to change anytime soon.

After all is the training, passports, boarding, and flight, Foxtrot finds himself listless as he stares out the window. The last time he was in another country, it was to end a war; now it's to keep another from starting. Many things were familiar, but thankfully his friends are here this time. Maybe it'll end differently too. For now the unicorn shuts his eyes and rests. His sleep pattern still hasn't improved and there's plenty of catching up to do.

"Ooh I look so nice in this!" A new passport reflects in Nivalia's eyes. She opens it to find her new photo, as well as some forged information. "I'm glad it my good side. Too bad is only for one country." Looking over to Tinder, she nudges the mare with some excitement. "This is so thrilling!" she whispers.

Sadowi fidgeted in his seat, stuck in the middle. It was no secret that he didn't need to use the toilet, and it was no secret that he was bored to no end. At first after climbing onto the aircraft and finding his assigned spot, he looked at the two beside him and decided both had grimlet eyes that brooked no argument or conversation, especially Broadshield with his scrunched up jaw. He then stared at his passport intently, the only thing in his pocket, as if attempting to pull its contents out with his eyes and carefully inspecting every page. Finished, he flipped back to the beginning and very slowly and loudly read every word he saw. With the small booklet's final words stating how it contained "sensitive electronics," after reading he promptly began bending it to confirm its authenticity, from individual pages and covers to the entire thing.

He returned the passport to his pocket after nearly ruining it.
"Gee, I don't know," he announced. "We're going to someplace I've never heard of to save a damsel in distress and her rock collection and hopefully not start a war. That guy over there says this country called Maa-draas is building a biological weapon. Last time I checked, a rock doesn't seem very alive, not counting stuff on it."

His being made of sand and held together by magic never crossed his mind as he went on. "Oh yes, our last resort has 'Captain Reddy'* calling his pals, but we are going to the beach. Hopefully we have a long list of resorts, then.

"Girly Celestia's been notified but doesn't know about our trip, so secret's how it's going, and...and...I don't know. We got on this collection of metal and canvas flying in formation without so much as getting our pockets turned out. For all you guys know I could be the bad guy with a friend very 'close' to my heart tagging along for the ride, a master persuader prepared for even the most 'heated' and 'explosive' arguments and worst 'falling' outs."

Tinder glances at Niv's passport and smiles, "You do look really nice" She takes out her own and looks through it, stopping on the picture and frowning, "Mine not so much." She looks pretty nervous right now, she's never been in a plane before, and she's got gaurds on each side of her. "Yeah... thrilling."

"This isn't a vacation Niv." Ebony cuts in, ear swivels in her direction. "We're here to take care of business. Just remember the training you've gotten and stay close." Nivalia just rolls her eyes and tends to herself. Meanwhile, the captain looks over to find Broadshield giving deathly stares at a particular mare. "So... I take it that you two met before?"

Lauren was rapidly typing on a computer. "Okay, we should be clear to enter Madra without any issues. Everything has been set up. You will all need to follow Unknown's lead through the airport. The place is dangerous." She looked at Fox. "Sorry I had to lie to you. I'm actually an INS agent... Well, more of the computer side of things. I was sent to just monitor you every night."

"I the director of the operation to keep the asteroid's safe. Unfortunately, one was stolen, so I felt that it was my responsibility to help destroy it before things go bad." Brian explained. "We had to be sure that you could be trusted first."

Foxtrot chuckles, "Yea, I figured as much. High risk operations, of course you need procedures. The 26 followed the same precautions." He glances over his shoulder, spotting Lauren in the corner of his eye. "Besides, I could've had much worse keeping an eye on me."

Nivalia's smile slightly fades as she picks up on Tinder's mood. She had an idea what it's like. Despite her positive history with the guard, the worry of them finding out what she really is was constant. "Don't worry Tinder, I'll be with you every step of the way."

Broadshield generally ignores the conversation of everyone else, choosing to look outside a nearby window, before being pulled away by Ebony. "Yeah... you could say that Ebony." he says as calmly as possible, which wasn't easy because he really wanted to kill that mare, what she did to the politician that night, his men in the canyon, were all crimes that were unforgivable in Broadshield's eyes. As such, the tone of his voice was somewhat harsh, his voice seething with anger and hatred, as opposed to bloody murder and death.

Tinder looks over at Niv and smiles a little at her comforting words, "Thanks." She curls up as much as she can to get comfy, downing a few pills from her bag and just trying to keep calm in this situation.

The Captain notes the Commander's expression on the matter and decides to leave it at that. Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a cigar; its charred end hints is slight usage. Before he can light it, a plucky flight attendant strolls over to him.

"Excuse me sir, there's no smoking on the plane."

"Alright, uh..." Ebony stows away his cigar. "Do you serve any hard drinks?"

The attendants ears fold back as she tilts her head. "Oh sorry. We don't serve alcohol on this flight."

"That's fine. I'm good for now, thanks." As Ebony watches the attendant trot off, he pulls out a flask and takes a drink. "Never said anything about no drinking though."

"I am interested in what exactly they put you through. I had to do a lot of work on how you slept, weird I know. You seemed to be having a lot of nightmares." Lauren pulled up Fox's profile on her laptop. "If you are uncomfortable talking about it, that's fine too."
